Manny Pacquiao is a boxing world champion and PLDT myDSL Watchpad is an awesome world class broadband!

Believe it: it's faster, it's better. It's 10mbps.

What more can we ask for, with PLDT myDSL now at an awesome 10mbps just in time to watch Pacquiao's epic bout with Juan Miguel Marquez on November 13. The country's first broadband entertainment portal, PLDT myDSL Watchpad has never failed to make watching movies and TV shows over the internet more enjoyable and rewarding with its unbelievable upgrades from 3mbps to 5mbps and now up to 10mbps.

"People have to believe in something." I remember the movie Rango and reflected on what the Mayor (voiced by Ned Beatty) said of his people who were already losing hope. Just like Rango, Pacman is not just anybody who fights for something and wins his own battles; what makes him a true champion is his decision to stand out and become a hero for the innocent majority and the children who couldn't go to school who also got big dreams like him. Many believe in him because he chose to believe that he can make a difference, make the world literally stop and make his country proud while staying humble and kind-hearted at the same time.

Just as Pacman influences people to believe we can change the world in our own different ways as long as we first start the change in ourselves, PLDT myDSL Watchpad also makes us believe internet can always be faster and better just like the way we want it. My dad has always dreamed of watching Pacquiao's rematch against his best opponent yet without the annoying commercial disruptions, and he'd truly enjoy it with Watchpad's faster connection.

Want to witness the historical Pacman-Marquez match in full view? Sign-up for PLDT myDSL now at 10Mbps. For more information, log on to www.myworldmydsl.com.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon Special Movie Screening all thanks to Nuffnang and PLDT!

TF3 DOTM Reviews from Michael Bay Dot Com on Vimeo.

Courtesy of www.michaelbay.com

Are you a hero, or a just a messenger?

Michael Bay's Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon has been in my Top 5 movie list this year and Nuffnang and PLDT myDSL answered my prayer, as my brother and I got to watch its special movie screening last June 29 at the Shangri-la Cineplex Mall along with famous bloggers.
My brother Norman and Bumblebee
There were Transfrormers cosplayers roaming around the Cineplex, a cocktail buffet before the movie screening and a photobooth for our movie souvenier sponsored by PLDT my DSL.

Director Michael Bay determined the fate of the world with its release of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon (2011), completing the Transformers trilogy where Optimus Prime will make his biggest mistake and the world will face its worst nightmare.

Moon, 1969: three astronauts leaped over the word "impossible" and stepped onto the moon's dusty surface. But then it was not a mission to simply write history, rather a top secret agenda to discover firsthand the cosmic spacecraft that landed on the moon.

After a surprise encounter with a monstrous Decepticon called Shockwave in Russia, Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots headed back to the US headquarters only to find out about the secret misson on the moon years ago. Sam (Shia LaBeouf), on the other hand, struggling to find a decent job save for his girlfriend  Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) who helped him find one, was also attacked by the enemy after an officemate radically gave him information about the simultaneous deaths of a group of scientists who knew about the secret.

Optimus Prime then searched for the Cybertronian spacecraft in the moon and reawakened Centinum to finally save their planet. Centinum told them about the 100 pillars he was supposed to ship to earth to rebuild their world and found out the rest were missing, with NASA only finding five of them.

But then reawakening Centinum was actually part of the Megatron's plan. With the rest of the pillars kept by the Decepticons scattered around the world, all they had needed was Centinum to activate the pillars and open the threshold that would connect Cybertron to the earth, thus rebuilding it once more.

With his girlfriend taken hostage by Dylan (Patrick Dempsey), the son of one of the scientists who worked for the Decepticons, Sam was forced to temporarily work for them by reporting the Autobots' next move. On that hopeless and inevitable fate, Optimus Prime apologized for the damage he'd done and with the rest of the Autobots they were sent away, but not until the Decepticons blew up their ship.

And so the apocalypse began. With no more Autobots left to save the planet, the Decepticons started preparing the pillars to rebuild their world. But Sam was determined to stop Megatron's plans and save his girlfriend, and eventually found out the Autobots survived the Decepticons' attack. Together with the remaining US Army, they moved on to a suicidal mission to finish the war once and for all.

"You didn't betray me. You betrayed yourself." In the last thrilling minutes of the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons, I was moved to tears especially when Sam couldn't help but watch his best friend Bumblebee almost get killed by the enemy.

Aside from the Autobots' and the Decepticons' jaw-dropping transformations in this redemptive and action-packed movie, Transformers 3 is also a comedy film, especially in the scenes when Sam's parents were scolding him about his broken love life.

Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is now showing in cinemas worldwide.

It definitely transformed my world witnessing the world's last stand in the battle between good and evil from Michael Bay's creative and unique viewpoint. My brother really enjoyed it and said it was an unforgettable experience for him, all thanks to Nuffnang and PLDT myDSL!

"PLDT myDSL's Internet to Sawa TRANSFORMS my internet experience from HOPELESS to SIMPLY THE BEST!"

"Let me live without a boyfriend, or even without a bunch of friends, but not without INTERNET."

A hopeless puppy love or a backstabbing enemy would never make me cry, but I'd shed more than a liter of tears if my INTERNET is bleak and unpromising.

Internet has become my greatest redemption as I found all possible access to take my hobbies to a whole different ball game. I was able to hone my writing skills by blogging, which even led me to experience winning cash prizes and exclusive privileges. It spiritually TRANSFORMED me as I currently enjoy everything I do in this one-package deal: writing, winning and even earning money, especially at such a young age.

Yet for every fulfillment there's always a challenging dilemma. For me, SLOW INTERNET has always been my OLD FOE. I couldn't even remember how many times I've muttered a small prayer before I connect to the internet, and it's been thrice my siblings and I conducted a trial-and-error course to identify which internet plan/connection would bail out our homeworks and researches for the next day.

The demands of college life made me realize how I always needed FAST INTERNET. Professors would ask us to submit commentaries on line, and thankfully there's PLDT myDSL Internet to Sawa just in time to rescue me! With its unlimited internet packed with free speed upgrade from 3mbps to 5mbps, PLDT myDSL shall definitely transform the new chapter of my life from hopeless to simply the best!

NUFFNANG TRANSFORMED ME FROM BEING A LOSER TO A WINNER!

"Sometimes when you lose, you win."

This has always been my favorite quote all thanks to my high school mentor Ms.Josephine Bonsol. One day I was a loser. But she told me to seek greater things without the political stain, and eventually, especially with the help of Nuffnang, I became I winner.

Nuffnang, Asia-Pacific's leading and first-ever blog advertising community, pulled me back to my feet and has always offered me a lot of writing opportunities to hone my writing skills better and to win contests with amazing prizes. From being an amateur blogger, it TRANSFORMED me to become a productive and cool Nuffnanger. Being part of this community made me more confident of myself and led me to believe age doesn't matter to have someone say, "YOU ROCK!"

Both PLDT myDSL and Nuffnang turned my world upside down and transformed me from being hopeless to simply the best!

Awesome Pacman-Sugar live streaming fight all thanks to PLDT myDSL and Nuffnang!

My dad couldn't believe how the big bout ended in a blink.

With shot guns and M16 firearms put at ease, the world once again froze with Pacman's legendary (and surprising) clash with 3-division world champion Shane "Sugar" Mosley at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas last May 8. And this time, my dad and I--ardent patriots of the boxing arena--need not endure the 10-minute commercials after watching its awesome live streaming yesterday at Yellow Cab, People Support, Makati City.

My dad was surprised at how the three preceeding fights ended so quickly and even enjoyed Jorge "Travieso" Arce's (one of Nonito Donaire's boxing foes) amazing 12-round clash with the equally strong-built Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. The most-awaited battle between the Deadly Southpaw and the unbeatable Sugar started at exactly 12NN. We all cheered when Pacquaio's envoy started marching with Jims Jamison's "Eye of the Tiger' song. My dad had a quick guess it would be one of Manny's songs though.

Charice Pempengco (Glee) beautifully sang the Philippine National Anthem, while Tyrese sang America's "Land of the Free". Jamie Foxx (Rio) also sang "America the Beautiful".

It was an amazing experience watching one of the most outstanding fights of a legendary boxing icon with famous bloggers, especially when they all shouted with joy everytime Pacman directly inflicted Sugar in the first rounds. The cheers were deafening when Sugar was hit and knocked down by one of Manny's deadly Southpaws in the third round. We all gasped when the Mexicutioner tumbled down in Round 10, and cursed when the slow-motion scenes showed how Mosley locked his right arm to Manny's left and pushed him hard enough to fall over.

While we watched the fight we were served with Yellow Cab's famous New York style cuisines. The crunchy tortilla chips (P120) were perfect with its sweet-spicy tomato salsa. The unmistakable Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs (P230), with its unique and original French-style sweet-sour taste baked and simmered in red wine tomato sauce went very well with the crunchy hot wings (P700/dozen with 2 dips) in its spicy wing sauce.

I enjoyed the Barbecue Chicken pizza (P550/14") topped with juicy chicken meat, sweet red onions, cilantro leaves in hickory and smoked barbeque cheese. They also served the Corona Chicken Salsa pizza (P550/14") with its Southern tomato salsa and lime for that unique sweet-sour sting.

After the fight, Nuffnang awarded four lucky winners for best blog post in the Pacman-Mosley fight with PLDT myDSL's awesome Big Ticket. My blog (Storms of Errport) was chosen as one of the Top 3 best blogs. We were given PLDT myDSL jackets and ID tags. Republikang Pinoy garnered champion and was awarded with a PLDT myDSL modem.

But the best prize I got was making my dad very happy watching the Pacman fight the fast and unique way. He said he was very proud of me because of my writing. He jokingly added I might surprise him again, not only winning exclusive tickets, but also cars from such contests, too--his biggest dream so far.

Thank you very much to Ms. Trixie Esguerra of Nuffnang, PLDT myDSL and Yellow Cab!

My mom's Mothers' Day Treasure Hunt!

The gift was too dull to be simply handed over to a great mom.

We decided to add a little twist to mom's ever-special Mothers' Day celebration and even awarded her with the "Best Treasure Hunter of the Year" after successfully scavenging over our surprise gift for her!
After an amazing PLDT myDSL experience watching the live streaming of the Pacman-Mosley fight with my dad at People Support, Makati City yesterday, my twin sister and I surprised mom with a treasure hunt event at the house.

It looked childish of course, but she enjoyed every stopover to find the next clue while I guided her and my twin sister Jillian documented it. In the end, she found a box with fake computer keys drawn on the cover and struggled to guess the right number combination to open it!

We all enjoyed and laughed as we made fake electronic sounds whenever mom didn't get the right combination. Mom was also amused as she discovered a treasure hunter in her, finding the clue letters in a blink.
Belated Happy Mothers' Day to all nanay's out there! I love you everyday mom!

"I’ll watch Pacman vs. Mosley fight thanks to PLDT myDSL Big Ticket and Watchpad"

You know when a boxing clash comes up and whose it is, even if they promote "nameless" posters.

And you know who's always going to win.

The Legend. The Destroyer. The Deadly Southpaw. The Mexicutioner.

Who else can literally freeze the international majority and create history, with Filipino modern day hero Manny Pacquiao stepping in to the boxing arena and crushing every legendary boxing icon there is. Everytime promoter Bob Arum confirms a match, it will be like an unofficial special holiday in the house and dad would take the day-off and buy all the chips to go with the match airing at Free TV. We'd curse but endure the 10-minute commercials in between, even though we already knew the result beforehand because of our friends who have cable channels.

In any way, there's nothing more majestic than watching our pound-for-pound king prove his natural expertise that rooted from mere childhood hobbies and amateur talents all boxed in 12 rounds--or less as we've always predicted it to be. His traditional prayer routine at the corner of the ring amidst millions of big people, bettors, spectators and boxing analysts, and the simple but awesome fact that he never fails to steal the champion belt always made us endure the struggle to watch the event even in Free TV.

With his face published in both local and international broadsheets, from the Reader's Digest to Time Magazine, the 8-weight division humble champion is definitely the next big winning ticket not only to the country but more importantly to the hopeless magtataho and the malnourished, uneducated Filipino kid.

Speed. Accuracy. The fastest ever. Simply the best. Once I realized we need not endure the long commercials for every historical Pacman fight, when there's PLDT myDSL, enhanced by its new Big Ticket, to the rescue! Just like Pacman's awesome speed, footwork and lasting endurance, PLDT my DSL Big Ticket also knocks down only the best broadband internet access for us tech savvies in the whole country. With its innovative creation increasing PLDT myDSL Watchpad's speed matching that of Pambansang Kamao's swift southpaw moves, we can finally savor--among other local sites and free TV channels--Pacman's next big bout with Shane "Sugar" Mosely on May 8 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

PLDT myDSL Big Ticket is an awesome entertainment myDSL upgrade as it answers our prayers of faster internet and high quality online experience. While I currently use other broadbands, I'm always praying everytime I connect to the Internet hoping it will not ruin my day with another "offline status" in all of my social network accounts.

I've always asked my dad to install PLDT myDSL in our computer so we won't have to buy prepaid load over and over again. I guess my efforts paid off, as he finally decided it would be better if we have unlimited internet access with amazing speed boosted by PLDT myDSL Watchpad and PLDT myDSL Big Ticket at an extremely affordable price for our college necessities.

He would definitely subscribe this month and it's a dream come true for me! After all, it will also excite him more as we would appreciate watching the legendary battles of The Fighting Pride of the Philippines more. And what's easier than watching at high quality, we could even subscribe online at www.pldtwatchpad.com/PacquiaoMosely.html. It's another dream come true!
